Greetings and Welcome to the 30th annual Kentucky Scottish Weekend. We really appreciate your support over these many years.
Our entertainment is as good as any event anywhere outside of Scotland. Piping and Drumming, Athletics, Highland dancing, Scottish Country dancing (you too can join in on the fun), Border Collies, British Cars, and this year we have added Clogging. Seven Nations is back along with Mother Grove and a new group called Pictus. Be sure to visit the Clan Tent, you might just find your connection to Scotland.
This year the park has a liquor license and they will have a "Scottish Pub" where they will be selling beer and wine. Be sure to check out the vendors for the special Scottish article or gift. Don't miss out on the meat pies and barbeque. Good hot food all day long.
Take time to look around this beautiful General Butler State Resort Park. If you haven't been to the "top of the hill" you'll find a wonderful Lodge (serving great meals), a nine hole golf course and a grand view of the surrounding country including the Kentucky and Ohio Rivers.
We want to thank the Parks Department and the Carroll County Tourism and the many businesses for the many years of support. Also to the Board Members and the many volunteers who put it "all together" a big thank you!
And finally, we come to you with a bit of sadness as our good friend ALEX BEATON is undergoing a lengthy recovery and of course cannot be with us this year. Still we have reserved his location in the Main Tent and urge everyone to stop by and leave your best wishes.
The Board of Management is dedicating the 30th Anniversary of the Kentucky Scottish Weekend to ALEX BEATION! God speed Alex!
